The D.C. Brotherhood is a trusted community for Black men in D.C. who are building serious careers without wanting to lose the fullness of who they are.
Founded by Armani Madison
Armani Madison is an attorney and community-builder in Washington, D.C. He founded the D.C. Brotherhood to create a trusted space where Black men in demanding professional rooms could gather with honesty, build lasting relationships, and support one another beyond the limits of traditional networking.
The Brotherhood did not begin as a formal association or firm-sponsored affinity group. It began with a recognition that Black men in demanding professional spaces often carry isolation that traditional networking does not reach.
Brothers come from a wide range of backgrounds, including law, government, business, fraternity life, public service, and other professional communities. The gatherings are designed to make real conversation easier: dinners, brunches, athletic outings, service opportunities, rooftop debates, and community celebrations.
The purpose is not to perform professionalism for one another. The purpose is to build a recurring space where trust can accumulate over time and become practical support.
The early invitation was simple: come through, connect, and help build something real.
